Aiki Niinemets is a complete fireball – sparks fly from her pictures and her stylistic superballs are captivating. For the past three years, she has been living in The Hague, Holland, but she tries to visit her mother’s home in Pärnu every few months.
Aiki, you immediately caught our eye on social media with your bold and provocative style. How would you describe your choices?
Thanks, that’s great to hear! I have been experimenting with clothes, hairstyles, make-up and accessories for a long time and over time I have come to understand what suits me and what doesn’t. I don’t follow trends, because I remember the saying “trendy is one step away from tacky”. But I have also acquired some clothes for the summer season in the flow of trends because I like to tune them according to my mood – I add rivets, sew around, etc.

When you look at your wardrobe - what can you find the most in there? What is comfort clothing for you?
I’m crazy about festivals and music, and that’s why I have 2 big suitcases full of festival outfits. On a daily basis, I mostly wear dresses.
You boldly play with your body and sexuality. Where is the limit of shyness and shame for you :)))
I enjoy being in front of the camera and playing with sexuality has grown with years of practice. In addition, I have consciously worked on myself and my confidence.
What role do accessories play for you?
Very important! My tattoos are the most prominent accessories that I always carry with me. 🙂 But Tanel’s colourful earrings have long won my heart and go with absolutely everything.
How much do you control and shape your image on social media? What mark do you want to leave on people and the world?
Let’s be honest, the majority of Estonian women are still stuck in the burden of being stubborn, and unfortunately, this has also been passed on to many younger people, for whom it’s ok to put other women down in social media comments, especially if a little bit of someone’s naked body is visible. 😉 I try to inspire women to be less ashamed of themselves.

Aime, how has Aiki style evolved over time? How would you describe her combo of style and character?
How do you keep yourself fit and energetic?
Already at the age of 7, I started going to athletics training and the love for that is still inside me. Folk dance training 2x a week and so since the 1984 season gives good form and posture. The start of running events became a strong emotional charge. Although virtual today, you can feel good, get a medal and dance.
My “secret” love is a stormy sea. I’m even a bit of a rebel, and the calm flow of the river under the window of my home brings me back to balance.
What are your wardrobe favourites?
Some clothes and shoes are classics. Favourites change with the seasons. In winter, colourful tights with dresses are favourite, and from spring to autumn, floral dresses are popular. Jeans are indispensable for walking on cool autumn evenings.
