New silk collection “Les Fleurs du mal”

Tanel Veenre has completed the new collection “Les Fleurs du mal”, which is centred around the shape of an orchid. On this occasion, the collection presentation took place in an extraordinary room theatre format at the club Erinevate Tubade Klubi. Two poets and 20 models were on stage, each a stunning character.

“Les Fleurs du mal” is my longest matured collection. After all, I started photographing orchid flowers more than 3 years ago. For me, the orchid has always been somehow too beautiful, even in real life these flowers are as if they were made with AI 🙂 This head’s erotically flattering shape, pure bright colours – you can be mistaken for them with a glance.”

“Doing a show like the one that was put on at the Erinevate Tubade Klubi is still crazy… But for me it’s important to offer something more than products, I’m still attracted by drama! I put two poetry readers and 20 models on stage, each a stunning character. I am still hugely attracted to mature women – dignified beauty.

In the second part of the show, I added veils or masks to all the models, turning them into ghosts floating in the darkness and sneakers. As a witch’s student, I have my relationship with rituals and magic, I use such paraphernalia as an artist, let the beauty be astonishing.”

The lips made for the show got the most response after the show, this grotesque and selfie culture satire cut an important nerve of the era. Exaggeration of beauty eventually kills beauty and becomes a parody of itself. Tanel adds: “Being like a playful child on the fashion scene – I don’t have any fashion educational background – I can afford all kinds of tricks and it’s impossible to take fashion too seriously ;)”

It is not possible to do such a powerful show alone, we thank the supporters and sympathizers. The main sponsor is Solaris, where at the end of the summer, the best masks from the collection are also on display. Geisha and Frexenet – thank you!
