The fashion collection \u201cUnimoon\u201d<\/b><\/span> combines designer Tanel Veenre\u2019s fascination with traditional Estonian embroidery and his personal memories of Estonia. As with many of Tanel\u2019s collections, the roots of \u201cUnimoon\u201d reach back to his childhood \u2013 to the song and dance festivals, whether in Tallinn or Intsikurmu. These moments have long nourished the young artist\u2019s love for color and pattern.<\/p>\n

The collection gained new momentum in mid-winter, when Tanel delved into the collections of the Estonian National Museum. At home, playing with the materials on his computer, traditional embroideries began to intertwine with his own inner world of motifs: bullfinches landing on lilac bushes to snack on seeds during crisp winter days; childhood memories of counting the dots on ladybugs; his mother\u2019s favorite flowers \u2013 bleeding hearts and forget-me-nots; picking wild strawberries despite the mosquitoes. Add to that white transparent apples and crowned frogs, dragonflies and snails, beetles and bees, mushrooms and midges\u2026 All these tiny symbols together create a sense of home. And of course \u2013 the soul animal: a crowned seahorse floating in a dreamlike universe.<\/p>\n

With their vibrant color combinations and comfortable cuts, the garments resemble a kind of folk costume for urban people. All of the collection\u2019s unique fabrics are designed by Tanel Veenre himself and suit a wide variety of body types.<\/p>\n

The collection is created according to zero waste principles<\/b><\/span> \u2013 each item is one-of-a-kind and printed using precisely the amount of fabric needed for its creation. Every leftover scrap has found new life in pockets or belts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

The kaftan cuts are simple and spacious, offering maximum comfort for every body type. Silk is an excellent material \u2014 it allows the skin to breathe, providing warmth in cooler weather and a cooling effect in the heat. Ideal for travel: one kaftan fits in a pocket and weighs only slightly more than a butterfly. It can be quickly thrown over beachwear or used to turn a simple T-shirt and pants combo into a radiant ensemble. If desired, you can highlight the waist by tying the kaftan with a belt.<\/p>\n
