\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTanel Veenre’s solo exhibition at Temnikova & Kasela Gallery features a large-scale conceptual jewellery series \u201cPapilla\u201d and \u201cOrgan\u201d created during the last three years.\r\n\r\nThe power of the exhibition is the black hearts exhibited on wooden organ stones. The organ as the heart and the organ as the organ. Hearts moulded from various dark precious materials speak through archetypes rather than physicality; the heart is an image imbued with its endless representation, which, under the hand of an artist who thinks in terms of material, has begun to grow, reaching refined organic forms. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAnother series of engraved stone jewellery on display in the exhibition is unusually minimalistic in Tanel Veenre’s work, combining the perfectly polished aesthetics of the design with the conceptual ambitions of the artist. Jewellery in the shape of the nipple points to the issues of freedom to display the body, referring to the restrictions and double standards that accompany the nudity of the human body. These brooches and earrings are a comment on the #freethenipple movement on social media, which wants to free bodies from gender differences. The first presentation of “Papilla” took place at the “Nuda Vita” exhibition (curator Ilaria Ruggiero) as part of the Munich Jewelry Week.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe exhibition also includes some works where these two series meet. Surreal narrative imagery has synthesized hearts with flames, nipples and lustful tongues. Faith and eros, two powerful guides. An artist who explores being with his work manages to deal with 1-2 bigger themes in his life. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWhile the last series presented by Tanel Veenre three years ago was overflowing from the Baroque and in lustrous colors, what can be seen in the Temnikova & Kasela gallery is rather thoughtful and dark-minded. The wooden sound of the organ lilies emphasizing the seriousness.\r\n\r\nThe opening of the exhibition took place on the 28th of May. The opening day was blessed with a clear sky and within three hours a large number of art lovers visited Tanel’s new work. The champagne was provided by Pere Ventura, and instead of bringing flowers as a gift, the guests were asked to make a donation to the Noor Ehe Foundation.
