Tanel Veenre’s fashion exhibition “Les Fleurs du Mal” was opened on the Design Street of the Solaris Center as part of the Design Night festival. The exhibition brings visitors iconic silk dresses, caftans, kimonos and hand-made masks inspired by the scandalousness and mysticism of French Symbolist poet Charles Baudelaire’s legendary poetry collection “Les Fleurs du Mal”.

A photo series was also presented for the first time, where Tanel’s animal masks merged into the wild and mystical atmosphere of Lahemaa’s nature. The photos, made especially for the Solaris exhibition, were taken on the banks of the Hara stream. It was a lucky find for Tanel in the mushroom forest – a mystical winding river with its pristine banks.

The “Les Fleurs du Mal” collection marks the first time Tanel has focused solely on textiles. The exhibition will remain open until October 10, 2024, in the Design Street of the Solaris Center, offering an experience to everyone who appreciates Estonian design and wants to experience the unique harmony of beauty and horror.
